School will be closed tomorrow (Friday 15th Ocotber) due to burst water main. Repairs are currently under way and should be completed over the weekend.
School will reopen on Monday 18th October.

Next week the children will be having their Harvest Assembly on Wednesday. We would be really grateful for donations of tins, dried foods and fresh vegetables. This year we will be donating to two organisations – The Diners Club (run by Ashford International Chrisitan Fellowship) and Parkview Care Home.
Please feel free to start sending in your contributions from Monday 18th October. Parents are more than welcome to attend the art exhibition after school on Wednesday 20th October where it will be possible to see the display of harvest gifts. |

{INFORMATION HERE APPLIES TO 2010 FIREWORKS EVENT}
Following on from last year’s successful event John Wesley, Hamstreet and Furley Park Primary Schools are presenting this year’s firework display. The event will take place at John Wesley School(click for map) on Sunday 7th November – gates open at 5pm with the first fireworks starting at 7pm. Tickets can be bought from the school office. Walk on Wednesday is back! By taking part in WoW children get regular exercise and they will become more alert and ready to start the day! The scheme has already seen less traffic on the road, reducing congestion around the school gates and children also learn vital road safety skills as they walk in.
